Visual Notes

Turn a chapter or topic into one illustrated page of study notes — a revision sheet you can read at a glance, print, pin up, and test yourself from.

Generating visual notes

  1. Open your space and go to AI Tools, then open Visual Notes.
  2. Describe the topic in the chat. Mention a book or chapter if the notes should follow your material — type @ to tag a book or @@ to tag a chapter (see Tag Books & Chapters).
  3. Say who the notes are for, if it matters — the class, or whether they are a handout for teaching or a page for revising.
  4. Send the request, and the page is drawn straight away.

Classly shapes the page to fit the content:

  • a comparison table when several things share the same properties
  • a concept map with labelled arrows when the topic is a web of causes or relationships
  • numbered steps with the reason for each step when the topic is a method
  • a timeline when the order of events matters

Concrete ideas get a labelled drawing, and every page ends with a few Quick recall questions and a one-line Big idea so you can cover the page and test yourself.

Changing the page

Ask for what should change in plain words — "add a labelled diagram of the heart", "make it simpler for Class 6", "turn the causes into a table". Each change redraws the page and keeps the previous one as a version.

Drawing is the step that costs credits, so one clear change works better than several small ones.

Every chat owns exactly one visual notes page. To switch that page to a different topic, ask for it directly — "change this to Chapter 5" — and the new page is drawn as a fresh version, with the earlier topic still in the version history. To keep this page and make notes on another topic as well, start a new chat.

Making a fill-in version

Ask for a fill-in version to turn the page into a worksheet: chosen table cells, diagram labels or steps become blank lines for students to complete. It works well as a class handout or as a self-test before an exam.

Going back to an earlier version

Open the version history from the icon beside the page's title, then choose the version you want. Switching is instant, costs nothing, and the next change you ask for starts from the version you picked.

Saving the page

Download the page as a PNG from the document panel. Visual notes are also listed in Documents, ready to reopen or download later.
