AI Chat

Every AI tool runs on a chat. Each interaction is saved as a conversation you can return to.

How conversations work

• Generator tools (Assessment Generator, Lesson Planner, Presentation Generator, Study Notes) bind each conversation to a single document. Continuing the chat edits that same document.
• Explorer tools (Book Explorer, Wiki Explorer) are question-and-answer chats and don't produce a saved document.
• The Assistant is a general-purpose chat for everything else. Like the explorers, it doesn't produce a saved document.

Conversation titles are created automatically from your first message.

Switching between conversations

Each tool has a conversation switcher at the top. Use it to:

• Open a past conversation.
• Start a new chat.
• Rename or delete a conversation.

Deleting a conversation

Deleting a conversation removes its chat history permanently. If the conversation has an unsaved (draft) document, that draft is deleted along with it — so save the document first if you want to keep it. See Saved vs Draft for the full details.
