AI Usage & Limits

Every AI action — generating an assessment, planning a lesson, exploring a book — draws from your organization's AI allowance.

How the allowance works

• The allowance is set by your plan. Higher plans get a larger allowance.
• It's shared across your whole organization — everyone's AI usage draws from the same pool.
• It resets in full when your plan renews, at the end of each billing period. Unused allowance doesn't roll over.

Boosters

If you run low before your plan renews, you can add a booster — extra capacity for the current period only, without changing your plan. Boosters are used only after your plan allowance is spent, and any unused booster capacity expires at the end of the period.

Add one from Settings → Usage using the Add booster button.

Tracking usage

• The AI Usage meter at the bottom of the sidebar shows the percentage of your allowance used this period. It turns red once you pass 90%, and updates live as the AI is used.
• Settings → Usage shows the full picture — your plan allowance, any active boosters, and when the allowance resets.
• The Dashboard shows usage per member, a cumulative trend for the month, and a breakdown by tool.

When the allowance runs out

Once the allowance and any boosters are spent, AI actions pause until your plan renews. To carry on before then, add a booster or move to a higher plan.

If your organization has no active plan, AI tools are unavailable until a plan is in place.
