AI Guidelines

Set organization-wide instructions that shape how the AI behaves across every tool.

Where to find it

AI Guidelines are configured as the AI System Prompt under Settings → AI Settings.

Only the owner can view and edit AI Guidelines. Admins and teachers don't have access to this page.

What it does

The guidelines are injected into every AI conversation in your organization — across Book Explorer, the generators, and chat. Use them to set tone, language, rules, and context the AI should always follow.

Editing the guidelines

1. Go to Settings → AI Settings.
2. On the AI System Prompt card, select Edit.
3. Write your instructions — for example, tone, language, policies, or examples.
4. Select Save.

Guidelines can be up to 2000 characters. You can clear them at any time to remove custom instructions.
